BIO
Known for her brilliant technique and exquisite musicality, Victoria Shorokhova is recognized as a versatile musician specializing in organ and piano. She performs music of various styles from early to modern, but is particularly passionate about French symphonic and contemporary repertoire, which best describes her musical identity. Victoria is sought after as a soloist and collaborative musician. She has been actively concertizing across Russia, Europe (Estonia, Netherlands, Germany, Poland), and the United States (St. Thomas Church and St. Patrick’s Cathedral, New York, Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption, San Francisco are the most recent).
Victoria is a winner of national and international organ competitions, including National Young Artists Competition in Organ Performance (2024, 2nd prize), III International Braudo Organ Competition in Saint Petersburg (2019, Diploma and special prize), XXVI International Competition of Sacred Music in Rumia, Poland (2014, 2nd prize). She participated in organ academies (Alkmaar, Netherlands, 2013; Graz, Austria, 2014; Kotka, Finland, 2015) and master-classes (Ludger Lohmann, Arvid Gast (Germany), Lorenzo Ghielmi (Italy), Isabelle Demers (Canada) and others. In 2023, Victoria has been named one of “The Diapason” magazine’s “20 under 30” selected members.

Currently, Victoria is pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Organ Performance at the University of Houston, studying with Daryl Robinson, and holding an Organ Scholar position at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. She earned her Master’s Degree in Organ Performance from Georgia State University (2022), where she studied with Dr. Jens Korndörfer and served as Music Intern at the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta. In Russia, Victoria graduated from Saint Petersburg State Conservatory with degrees in piano (2016, professor Vladimir Shakin) and organ (2017, studio of Daniel Zaretsky). She also holds a Master’s degree in Arts and Humanities from Saint Petersburg State University, major “Historical Performance on Keyboard Instruments” – organ, harpsichord, carillon (2019). Between 2015-2020 Victoria has been teaching piano and serving as collaborative pianist at the children’s music school, actively performing on various venues across Saint Petersburg.
